Two vegetarian curries
These are two vegetarian curry recipes I had lying around, which
we like a lot... I didn't write these, but I've no idea where they
came from anymore.  Hope you like them. Thanks to whoever first
wrote them!
Cauliflower-Potato curry
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
 
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
 
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
 
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
 
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
 
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
 
- 1 medium cauliflower, divided into small florets
 
- One previously boiled potato, diced
 
- 1/4 cup vegetable stock
 
- 1/4 cup yogurt, or to taste -- this part is optional
 
Carrot-Banana curry
-  1/4 c Margarine or vegetable oil
 
-  1 tb Cumin seeds
 
-  1 1/2 ts Yellow mustard seeds
 
-  1 1/2 ts Ground turmeric
 
-  1 ts Ground cardamom
 
-  1 ts Curry powder
 
-  1/2 ts Ground cloves
 
-  1/4 ts Cayenne
 
-  1 lb Carrots; peeled and sliced
 
-  1 md Banana; peeled and sliced
 
-  1/4 c Golden raisins
 
-  1 c Water
 
-  About 1 ts salt
 
-  Ground black pepper
 
-  Chopped parsley or coriander for garnish
